Hi everyone. I am the unfortunate owner of an ingrown toe nail which I ignorantly acquired through getting a foot massage in China last year. The masseuse gave me a pedicure after soaking my feet in a warm herbal concoction. Anyway, she shaped my nails in such a way where the edges now dig into my toe thus giving me pain... a lot of pain.

And so I would like to ask where I might be able to get a proper pedicure to prevent my toe nails from digging into my toe. Just to add... I do not like the thought of being in a beauty salon. Would there be a facility where they specialise in fixing / reshaping the toe nail in Manila?

I do cut my own nails but I can't seem to bring the nail back to how it was and I seem to be making it worse.

Tapos nun kakanta silang dalawa.

Nakuw sakit nang in-grown. I had an unfortunate experience in HS, twice ako nagpa-doctor para lang maayos yung problem ko dyan. The last time, tinanggal buong nail para daw bago na yung tutuboat alagaan na lang. It worked naman. Sa big toe pa naman.

I just cut my nails into a semi-rounded squarish shape and that's it. I regularly dabble with a variety of oils, greases, underchassis grime, etc. So well manicured and pedicured nails are out of the question for me.

Re: Salon ..... yeah! Why not. :D

Unfortunately you would have to get regular pedicures to prevent that ingrown. It is hard to do your toenails on your own once you get an ingrown. It's relaxing naman to get a pedicure so you could add that to your bi monthly or monthly relaxation activities. Hiyangan din sa nail technician so I request for specific persons to do my nails.

I have a girl friend that never goes for pedicure precisely because of what happened to you, if the nails are cut the wrong way you'll get ingrown talaga. Plus your cuticle grow thicker once you have it removed.

There's nail it, california nails, nail a holics, nail tropics. My best friend had a bad case of ingrown and had it operated on.
