Is it better to just buy locally than import an automobile from countries like Japan or the US???
I'm such a big fan of either Japanese Sports compacts or American muscle cars. I thought about importing my car but I'm sure I'm gonna be charged up the arse in tarrifs and not to mention "LAGAY". Is it really worth doing or would I be better off buying something locally?
Are there other options like wrapping the car in bubble wrap, tossing it out in the ocean and fishing it out later??? j/kLast edited by swapcentral.ph; May 6th, 2005 at 06:00 AM.

afaik, peeps who r from abroad n transfer here usually do not bring their cars with them, mostly they just sell it b4 coming here. hassle kasi masyado with all the papers, taxes blah blah unless the car has sentimental value, or precious talaga.

i think lalo na ngayon its gonna be more expensive to bring it in.. unless you have connections and declare it as junk parts or haluan mo ng garments (ukay-ukay?) etc..
