bro kung "joke" lang yun, lagyan ng smiley or "hehehe" at the end to signify that he was just being flippant.
Otherwise a lot of people will take offense when you call for the extermination of a group of people for simply being lazy and "pasaway". Do you think poor people want to be squatters? They became squatters because they cannot afford decent housing. These are mainly people from the countryside who were "forced" to migrate to Manila because they can't a decent price for their farm products. Just as middle class people in Manila go to Hongkong and the Middle East for greener pastures, we should likewise not fault poor "provincianos" for coming to Manila to earn a decent wage. Sure some squatters are lazy and some of them even turn to criminal activities, but the majority are hardworking carpenters, laborers, housemaids that deserve some respect and understanding and not made victims of people who make sweeping statements that call for their extermination simply because they are squatters.
To the mods: can we please require the forum posters to not make statements that are racist, social-class discriminatory, or just plain bigoted and barbaric. If they're just making a joke (calling for shoot-to-kill on squatters if meant as a joke is offensive and in poor taste) at least indicate a smiley to indicate that the post is being made by a mentally-challenged person who is trying to be funny and not to be taken seriously.

QUEZON CITY, Philippines - Informal settlers in Quezon City warned Tuesday that they are ready to barricade EDSA again if the government pushes through with their relocation.

Estrelieta Bagasbas, chairperson of an urban poor group in San Roque, North Triangle, Quezon City, said they have been on high alert since August 27 following a deadline set by the city government for their relocation to Rodriguez, Rizal.

In September last year, the informal settlers had a pitched battle with police last year, resulting in a violent confrontation that spilled into EDSA.

"We have designed every aspect of our barricades to thwart any attempt by NHA and the police to demolish our community," Bagasbas said.

"We expect public commuters to understand us for we don't have choice for this government has already turned deaf to our legitimate demands. Barricading EDSA will remain essential as thousands of urban poor remain as victims to the government's failure to address the housing problem in urban centers," she claimed.

    Relocation houses sold

After the 2010 demolition attempt, some 5,000 families voluntarily transferred to Rodriguez, Rizal and San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

However, half of the them returned to the slum area after selling their housing units, according to urban poor group Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap.

Bagbasbas confirmed this, describing the act as "righteous."

"We'll make sure Aquino will regret it if his government continues in demolishing our homes," she said.

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, meanwhile, has reportedly extended the deadline for the informal settlers' relocation.

DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo suspends all demolitions in Metro Manila

Police and local government executives were ordered Friday to put on hold all planned demolition operations in areas where informal settlers reside while the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) clarifies policies and the process to be followed.

“I have directed the NCRPO to conduct a review on all policies and legal orders regarding cases of demolition. There should be a “pre-demolition meeting” among all stakeholders to prevent violence such as what transpired at the Silverio compound in Paranaque City,” DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo said

“Pending the review, hinto muna yung mga demolitions…….. habang di pa malinaw yung mga related policies and guidelines on this subject,” Robredo added.

He advised informal settlers to abandon any plans to throw human waste and urine at law enforcers who will enforce demolition orders.

“Hindi yun tama dahil magpapalala lang yun ng sitwasyon. Pwede sila hulihin dahil ang balak nila’y magdudulot ng pinsala o perwisyo…dahil merong silang intensyon na masama,” the DILG chief explained.

He said the violence at the Silverio compound last Monday could have been avoided if only the stakeholders met prior to the demolition.

“Kung nag-usap lang ng maayos ang lahat ng concerned groups and personalities sa issue na ito, di sana ito mangyayari. The court order indicated that only 61 families lang ang covered ng demolition pero mukhang yung lahat ng 5,000 families sa loob ng compound ay nasabihan o na mis-lead na kasama sila sa mga ide-demolish,” Robredo said. — ELR, GMA News

May rumours na takabo ulit si Sonny Belmonte for Mayor, kasi maraming nagrereklamo na absentee mayor si Bistek. No news whether the child actor signed the creation of QCBD...3 years is almost up and lahat status quo pa rin.
