    The surname is indeed Scottish in origin, but she is Canadian.

    And I've heard her say her name too: "mac-logh-lan" talaga. But since "Americanized" na, I guess mac-lach-lan will do fine...

    Reminds me of that ex-NBA player Mark Aguirre. American TV commentators pronounced his name as "Agh-wire" and not as we would pronounce it:
    "A-gi-re"
