Distance from US bec they are likely to suffer from his (trump's) presidency, and we take a hitch of China's/russia's benefit with the possible fall of US economy, and subsequent tip of balance of power.

no he is not, he is trying to tell his citizens to prepare for the worst, if he wanted war, he should have started it when turkey(NATO ally) shot a russian plane.... if that happened to an american plane lets say shot in vietnam...it will be iraq all over again..

There won't be any war over a shoot down. If it didn't happen during the Cold War when tensions were much higher, it won't happen now.
