Sabbaticals are only for AVP and up ata. I knew one AVP that took a sabbatical, nauwi din nga sa resignation

Uptight,- as there are so many things on the table and they are not moving with Corporate...

Just so much procrastination these days.... Oh well....

Sadly, companies have significantly changed a lot in the way they do things....

It's a good thing that I got good training and participation with my undergrad and postgrad thesis preparations,- as all of these outstanding stuffs have already reached that level....

Cat, take the advise of the majority here. Leave the job and free yourself of the stress. You are old enough to make your own decisions so do not worry about the mom -she will learn to accept it. You still can find a job, trust me. Just lower your expectations a bit and start from the bottom and work your way up.

Working in a BPO is actually not a bad idea. Career growth is fast and plenty of opportunity for international travel. For all you know, you will be assigned to a team tasked to migrate a process from Germany to the Philippines. :D

^^^ ROHQ is a big come on...

Taking home 17% [more] of your salary is a definite advantage,- everytime!

True. But BIR is now looking closely on those who are availing of the incentive as not all employees in an ROHQ are automatically qualified. Also the FBT is being levied against the company so it is in effect adding cost to the company. But still I would choose ROHQ anytime.

Yup,- it will create division for those companies who cannot transition in full to ROHQ....

That is why one of the manufacturing companies in the south, has to spin off their ROHQ organization and hold office there in BGC bro... ahem ahem.....

BIR is everywhere these days. Even scraps "donated" a few years ago,- they would put value on them and will attempt to charge eVAT or whatever tax-appropriate charge is available in their books.... As always the burden of proof is on the company....
