the first aid treatment is to eat some sugar-containing food. i always have some candy in my pocket.
if hyperglycemia (too little insulin and/or too much sugar in the blood), i get a headache. the blood vessels in the brain swell because of increased intravascular volume brought about by the high sugar level attracting more water into the vessels. i usually get this when i eat too much sugar-containing food.
my personal first-aid management is to "grin and bear it". it will pass. just don't be chronic.
the symptoms vary, from person to person. the above are mine.
caveat!
i can do it because i am a trained professional.
laymen may have more difficulty, acting on and managing their symptoms.
