I suggest getting ideas from Magazines(Architectural digest, HOME, WA, etc) rather than in websites and flyers. Also, its better to get the services of an Architect for planning & design rather than doing it by yourself. You will be surprised how well your house looks(inside/out) and how much you can save more money in construction. Let the Architect/Engineer have all the headaches for you.

HD Suite can do the job but not as accurate as Autocad. Still, beginners and non-tech people will have a hard time using this software. You still need a background at least in Interior design or drafting.
