My Mom and I were witness to an accident between two motorcycles. The other driver was thrown off of his motorcycle and was lying in the middle of the road. He wasn't moving! My instinct was to drive away from the scene when my Mom told me to stop and help the man. I felt guilty that getting away was the first thing on my mind Before we could help, other motorcycles gathered near the accident scene so I just drove away.

My Dad naman carries tools in his car and does not hesitate to help stalled vehicles. My Dad is tall and lean though so he's not really to be messed with I am somehow hesitant to help strangers on the road because of all the modus operandi happening. I do know that there are still people who take the risk in helping strangers.

Have you been a good Samaritan on the road? Have you experienced receiving help from a good samaritan? Tell us your story

Well help can always come in different form. For me, instead of going down the vehicle I would rather call the authorities.

    For two main reason:

    1. Is the risk
    2. I am not an expert in providing medical assistance

Lalabas pagbumaba ako makikiusi lang ako, so I would rather call the right persons/people to do the job such as mmda, pnp, red cross, fire department and etc.

Office sent us sa red cross to be certified for basic life support and emergency response. I passed and got certified.

Still parang hindi ko kaya iapply mga natutunan ko in case na may emergency. Lets say aksidente, duguan yung victim.

Very helpful and they declined my tip for them.

Asa fastlane ako nasabugan ako gulong, luckily narating ko pa shoulder. So shocked sa nangyari nawala ako sa sarili what to do. Ayun they helped me change tires.

Motorcycle accidents, i'll just give them a smile. Good for them, they never learn the risk on 2 wheels. A messy accident, not for me, i''l do the same like Brainmafia stated. To assist on someone needing help for a breakdown, i'm in for that basta kotse, huwag lang truck o jeepneys.

What i hate the most are those usi along the expressway. Accident on the other side of the road, even the opposite lane having traffic dahil kauusisa, real mader fackers!

I didnt stop. Hinabol ko. Aug. 1999 i witnessed a delivery van swerved and hit a female pedestrian in noveleta cavite. her body was dragged several hundred meters from where she got hit, hinabol ko yung van til side by side kami and shouted that he is still dragging the victim underneath. then i felt threaten na babanggain nya ko kaya i sped off, tapos waited sa shoulder ulit para susundan ko sya kahit sa sya pumunta para tumakas, but i was ready to run fast kung banggain nya ako purposely, then ilang meters pa, before makaabot sa akin, nakita ko na dun pa lang naka alis yung body underneath, na kamuntik naman masagasaan ng bus. yung van was trying to evade arrest at dumaan na sa mga small streets, but hindi ko na talaga nilayuan, i was tailing him for a good 30mins siguro, when all of a sudden sa may intersection malapit sa tricycle terminal, nahulog yung right tyre nya sa malaking drainage, it was the time that i asked for help sa mga tricycle drivers, when confronted, palusot pa, di daw alam and they were trying to escape pa din, trying to start the van, kinuha ko yung susi, and then some yung mga tao dun radio'd sa barangay about sa comotion, then after a few minutes pa, dumating na yung pulis. 1 very memorable story namin ng wife ko yun, dahil we saved a life, and that same day we found out that she was pregnant w/ our first child. (2nd actually after a failed first)

nagtanong ako "Do you need help?", sumagot naman ng "I want to go down the street", nosebleed xpat nga.

So inalalayan ko hanga sa level road, kala ko dun mag aaabang ng taxi kasi nga maayos naman ang damit so inisip ko naka check-in siguro ito sa hotel Dusit.

To make the story easier to read, let just call her Grandma.

    Manilablock: Where are you going?
    Grandma: To KFC at MRT

Isip isip, kasi nga malapit lang ung MRT station sa Dusit, so maglalakad kami.

    Manilablock: Let me help you
Grandma: Thank you, you are kind, (natuwa din naman ako sa sinabi nya)
Grandma: We can pass by at SM to get a trolley
Manilablock: (Napaisip ako, wala akong alam na trolley sa SM at since its 8:00am sarado pa un) ok let me help you carry your bag.

Manilablock: Where are you going again?
Grandma: I will see my friend at KFC MRT
Manilablock: How long have you been staying in the Phil?
Grandma: I have visited Phil countless times, today I have a meeting with my friends and from MRT we will go to Quezon City.

Grandma: We go to SM and get trolley
Manilablock: Its too early, SM is still close, do you think we can get a trolley?
Grandma: Yes, I always pass by SM to get trolley and bring it to MRT

Store entrance.

Grandma: See, we can use the trolley (walking to the direction of the Shopping Baskets with trolley na nakalagay sa labas lang ng SM)
Manilablock: Does the guards allow you to take that?
Grandma: We will leave it outside of the elevator.

Grandma: Im ok now, you can leave me if you want.
Manilablock: Im going that way also, lets walk together

umabot na kami sa elevator ng MRT,

Grandma: We now leave the trolley here and use the elevator.

Grandma: KFC is on this side, we can walk
Manilablock: Im not familiar in this station so ill just follow you.

Grandma: Walking towards hers friend and they started talking
Manilablock: Thank you po aalis na ako
Grandma: Still busy talking with her friends

in the states yes, i usually stop and check if they need anything. here in the philippines depends on the situation. hirap na baka mamaya modus pala lalo na pag alanganin oras or nasa alanganin lugar. in an emergency situation like an accident and people needed help to get out of the car then yes tulong ako agad kahit alanganin oras ng gabi. pag may na saktan i also try to help with the very little things i know while calling or waiting for the ambulance to arrive. pero pag nasiraan lang or na flatan di ako tumutulong kasi nga baka modus lang pala.
