Have you ever seen a real firefly?

Or when was the last time you've seen a real firefly?



The last time I saw a firefly was during my early highschool years when we were still living in the barrio. But after that, I've not seen one even from afar.

we used to collect them, put them in jars then set them free when we got tired of 'em. i caught one a few nights ago. we live up in the mountains

Many times during my grade school days,- Boy Scout camping in Greenheights Paranaque, Montalban Rizal, Teresa Rizal and Mt. Makiling in Laguna....

The last time was about a year ago,- here in our village..... We stopped from our walking exercise and marvelled at how beautiful and majestic they were....

behind our house in manila two years ago. There used to be a small patch of bamboo trees and a sapa. ang huli kong balita, paved na yung lugar ginawang congressional avenue extension .

i caught one few years back...nag trek kami at sa isang nature park kami natulog, open space pero may mosquito net kami isa isa...pumasok sa net ko about 3, i got hold of one, mainit pala talaga din sila...

when i was small and christmas trees were tall...that was the time when i saw fireflies. i would catch some and place then in jars and cover the top with cloth for air.

nilalagay namin yun sa bote. back in 80s, dami nyan sa bicol. sa mga puno ng "mambog".

coincidence, but me and a young friend of mine was talking about firefly's cause he hasn't seen one and I was telling him how beautiful they are especially kapag nasa halamanan sila.

I remember my brothers place back in laguna, palaging madaming firefly dun sa garden nya, kakatuwa. But slowly parang unti-unting nawala.... sayang ganda pa naman tingnan.

Sa province namin up north, marami pa rin yan.

Sabi ng mga matatanda, kung saan lugar sila lumalabas at naglalagi, may "engkanto" raw. He-he!

yup. sa likod ng bahay nmin d2 sa makati almost everyday noong jan. and feb. marami kasi kaming halaman sa likod ng bahay and may fishpond din kami.
