the question is who provoked whom? from what i'd been seeing in the news, the strike had been going on peacefully for more than a week or so. then suddenly all hell broke loose. when? when the pnp and military arrived with armored personnel carriers, water cannons, tear gas and their guns.

i can understand tear gas and water cannons. common sight yan pag may huge mass action and demonstration. but armored personnel carriers? ano to may coup d'etat? fully armed ba ang mga strikers? kahit sabihin mong may mga militant at trouble-making outsiders dyan eh sigurado ko hindi armado yang mga yan. kahit sabihin mong wala silang permit to strike o sila naunang nagprovoke by throwing stones , they do not deserve the harsh and brutal treatment that they got from those armed pnp and military personnel.

clearly the victims here are the strikers. may nakita ba kayong duguan sa side ng military?

ehough has been said about the mentality of our labor force. what do you expect from these people? they are uneducated. dito sa tin pag di ka edukado, ikaw ang may pinakamababang sweldo, sasamantalahin ka, gagamitin ka, susulsulan ka. kahit may choice ka pa. ganun din kalalabasan mo san ka man pumunta. kawawa ka. mangmang ka eh. balik na naman tayo sa problem ng edukasyon. haay naku....

i think number one motivator ng mga pinoy is MONEY...compare sa mga leading country i.e. USA..sa survey dun yung top two motivators are - A PAT ON D BACK. 2. THE BOSS WILL GREET GOOD MORNING.

How can we or should I say how can the government educate the poor when most of the FUNDS for the WELFARE of the POOR are POCKETED by CORRUPT OFFICIALS???

mahirap na natin silang(workers) kumbinsihin na this is how things work in the business/economic sense kahit anong pilit gawin natin dahil na brain wash na sila ng communist ideology: that history is a series of class struggles, wokers should own the modes/means of production, dialectical materialism etc.. mahirap kausapin ang taong lasing sa ganyang kasipan. meron silang sariling mundo na ineenvision kya kung baga iba ang level natin o kaisipan sa kanila. parang si theveed iba ang kanyang perspective(capitalist sense) iba rin sa kanila communist perspective kaya mahirap pag tugmain iba ang solusyon nila sa problem na ito at ang nagsusulsol sa kanila are pointing out that a bloody revolution is the only way to gain control of these factors of production ultimately equal distribution of wealth---that is what they want and u cant settle this issue diplomatically...

I am from hacienda luisita...I grew up there and still going there almost every weekend... lahat ng mga ninuno ko dun na nanirahan at still lahat ng relatives ko andun pa rin... kung baga, yung isang malaking poste ng sugar refinery eh siguro yung family na namin ang tumatayong poste kasama ng iba pang manggagawa na simula't simula eh nagsilbi na para sa mga conjuanco... here are some facts...

1. blv it or not, yung mga lupa na kinatitirikan ng bahay namin until now eh hindi sa amin at wala man lang until now. yun mailan na sinuwerte nabigyan ng rights pero hindi title ng lupa..

2. dapat matagal ng naisama sa land reform ang ibang part ng hacienda..pero ang mga matatalino natin mga lawyers eh imbes na tulungan ang mahihirap, they obviously suggested that some parts would be converted to industrial park at subdivision para hindi makuha ng goverment for land reform.

1. lastly, marami sa tao sa pilipinas ang di nakakaalam ng history ng hacienda luisita at kung papaano mag operate ang mga cojuancos against sa mga kaaway nila... so to make it short, di ako magtataka kung maraming mamatay..in fact few days before the incident, my dad and i were talking and have predicted that that might really happen at ganun na nga...

marami pa kayong hindi alam na ang tanging mga nakakalaam lang eh mga taong witness na ng history sa lugar na yun..sad to say, even our media tends to see only the surface... isa lang masasabi ko.... aanhin mo ang napakadami mong pera kung di na maibabalik pa nun ang tinubos mong buhay... think about it guys....
