Correct, you can not shoot somebody for "trespassing" or even for robbery. You can only shoot the individual in "self defense" or in the defense of somebody in your household. So if you do shoot the individual, siguraduhin mo lang na "armed" and dapat ang scenario is meron "imminent threat" to your life or sa mga kasamahan niyo - hindi yung "umaakyat sa pader" or naglalabas ng television set or refrigerator - dapat meron hawak na weapon and nakaharap sa iyo. Tapos get a good lawyer.

What you should do in these situations - Lock the doors, gather everybody to a safe room, call the cops. Keep watch on the doors (better if you have a gun or any other weapon to protect yourself). and wait for help to arrive.
