RTC clearance, Court clearance (iba ito sa rtc), Police clearance, NBI clearance, gun safety seminar, psycho test, plus one more i forgot what.

Pag meron ka ng LTOPF transaction its only the time na ma rerenew mo yung FA mo. Wala pang bayad ang FA renewal. Later na yung total amount bago i release yung plastic ID.

as a former cop, and coming from a family of policemen, guns are already part and parcel of our way of life. a policeman's issued FA is part of his body. so the question of it being a necessity is a no-brainer.
unlike in the US where gun ownership is a right, here in the Philippines it is only a privilege and that accounts for those numerous requirements. you cannot lawfully own one or your previous license cannot be renewed without complying those mandatory requirements. the reason for this is not really difficult to fathom-- guns should only be in the hands of those who are responsible enough to own or carry them.

the first is a photograph of a 5.56 AR15 Bushmaster; the second is a Danao - made 9mm AR15 (these are NOT mine). I think Filipino gunsmiths are really good, and they can even copy HKs MP5.
