sa panahon ngayon pabor ako na mag armas ang lahat..para sa sariling protekshon wag lamang gamitin sa kasamaan, pang yabang o pananakot. gamitin lamang sa tama at kinakailangan.

So now we need a license to own, a license for the unit/s, a permit to transport, a permit to carry outside of residence, a permit to purchase ammo and most of those permits are not being issued or very hard to get.

The permits and licenses alone will be very expensive and time consuming. Looks like this is the PNP's way to bleed us dry and restrict or eliminate gun ownership.

But criminals dont need a single fing permit!

    ^ Exactly.

They are essentially discouraging citizens from rightfully owning a firearm. I won't be surprised if there'll be a surge of "Affidavit of Loss" submissions in the coming months.

And then they'll have a lot more loose firearms to contend with.

Gun registration never was intended to keep criminals off the streets. Gun registration ALWAYS leads to confiscation.
Damn, son! Where'd you find this?

I appreciate the efforts of Purisima in his attempt to cleanse the gun registration in our country. The idea is simple. There are a lot of fictitious registrations. Make the owners personally appear to make sure that the registration is not false.

Unfortunately, instead of cooperating, a lot of gun groups opposed the idea. I'm not sure with them but it sure looks like they don't want to have their ranks cleaned as well.

We all know what Purisima wants to do but too many people (with their own reasons, legal or otherwise) just do not want to cooperate.

Sure, criminals do not need to register and get permits but why are gun owners equating themselves to those kind?

The intention is good, I'll give him that. The reason why gun owners do not cooperate is because those who handle the registration see it as an opportunity to milk the gun owner, just like any other gov't agency that requires registration. They'll make the process next to impossible to accomplish if you don't hand over their lagay.

what efforts? he doesn't care about gun control, he's only using it to get more money for himself. if you think purisimas intentions are good then you have no idea what's really happening.
