    Why do pinoys refer to "oil change" as "change oil" ?

    e.g.

    "Tapos na ba ang change oil mo?"

    kanya-kanyang gamit lang yan. the english language is very different when it's spoken in the US, UK, India, or the Philippines.

    one thing i always found funny is you guys call the regular dealer maintenance "PMS". pre-menstrual syndrome kasi yan sa states, eh :bwahaha:

    napkin vs tissue
    comfort room vs rest room
    (plural) money vs (plural) monies
    colour vs color
    centre vs center
    red light vs traffic light
    mineral water vs bottled water

    i think para mas maikli lang? instead of saying in its entire context na, "do you want the oil to be changed?" haha

    "oil change" o " change oil". the same pareho lang yan.
