in the early days of christianity, there are gospels other than matthew, mark, luke, and john.

Then some church fathers/leaders declared a number of gospels heretic. So now we only have 4 gospels.

Biased ung mga nag decide kung alin ang heretic. Pag hindi tugma sa paniniwala nila or teachings nila, they label it heretic.

a phrase from the presumed gospel of judas:

"We said: he will fall into their hands as was prophesied. And they went to Judas and told him … although you are bad at this place, you are Jesus' true disciple. And he answered them as they wanted him to. And Judas received the money. And he surrendered him."

    "You are Jesus' true Disciple"

a good read on the discovered gospel with full translation(?):

Since Judas killed himself after his betrayal of Christ, how did this story come to be?

well... even if the other "Gospels" were written at the same time as the four established Gospels... its authorship and authenticity is still questionable... since none of the other Gospels supports or compliments it.

According to the link/article, the gospel ends with his betrayal or handing over of Jesus to the authorities.

A note: though this Gospel is called the 'Gospel of Judas', it was written by historians/theologians over a century after his time. In fact, none of the Gospels date to much earlier than a Century after Jesus. Thus, we should view this new Gospel with the same critical analysis as all the others.

Judas himself wrote the Gospel of Judas. He survived his own suicide when the branch holding the rope bent. The Gospels of Matthew and Luke had conflicting accounts on how Judas hanged himself. But according to Judas, he tried to hang himself to get to Jesus. When he saw him crucified, he knew that the only way to reach his master was in spirit or in other words, to kill himself. Even until the end he remained loyal to his master's wishes and wanted to be with him. Yun nga lang, he didn't have the strongest faith that Jesus will live again. and that was his betrayal.
