Go Nuts Donuts v.s. Hot Loops

ok you all know about Go Nuts but have you tried Hot Loops?

Hot Loops is the Gokongwei's foray into the "dounut wars"
One and only store so far is found in the Pioneer branch of the Robinsons Mall

Strategically located on the 1st floor and right at the center of the mall to ensure the "traffic"

my taste test:
comparing the amazing glaze of go nuts v.s. hot loops version

hot loops wins this one by a nose

why?

GLAZE:
you notice how go nuts glaze seems to be nice and shiny while its being made? take a good look at it when its on the display counter...better yet open the dozen you took home...."where's the glaze?"

hot loops glaze stays where its at...in fact it crystallizes and when you bite into it you can see it crack off little by little

go nuts slowly turns into sticky sweetness right on your digits

SWEETNESS:
hot loops more subtle neither the dough or the glaze outdo each other

"DOUGHINESS"
hot loops just a little more doughy which may or may not be to your liking
over all it gives loops a more firmer texture

alll in all only time can tell if go nuts and hot loops can maintain there quality and we all get our sugar rush when we can

wala pa kasing hot loops nun..nauunahan lang siguro si gokongwei..pag pumatok ang hot loops..siguradong meron ng ka-compete and gonuts sa RP manila..but i have yet to try hot loops..wala bang mas malapit sa manila area?

RP Pioneer is along EDSA.
you wont miss it..if you're coming from Guadalupe going to Shaw/Megamall..it's right before BONI / Pioneer.

i agree! dapat try nyo ren si CELLO! hehehe...seriously...masarap! tried all the flavors na and they all taste good...plus you can even watch Cello while makin' 'em!=)

go nuts donuts and hot loops... just almost taste the same. la lang! still a donut.

but i like hot loop's choco "something", the one that has a lot of chocolate toppings on top of the donut.

Haven't tried the Hot Loops.. Go Nuts di ko nagustuhan..ewan ko kung bakit. Malayo pa ang tindahan.

gonuts donuts sobrang tamis imho...they could tweak their glaze a little to lessen the sweetness. ung dunkin donuts di kasi consistent, nakakainins pag natiyempo mong old stock. nakakain din ako ng DD's strawberry filled with only about two munchkins' worth of strawberry filling; you could literally eat through 3/4ths of the donut without encountering any filling Bp.

napaka-agressive ng gokongwei, in a few years time, magkakaroon na ata sila ng sariling tv network sa tingin ko... they are really making their presence felt... sobra...

about the donuts, go nuts and cellos pa lang nakakain ko... kaso yun cello's nagpalit lang ng donuts yan eh, hindi naman ganun yan dati... kamusta na dunkin donuts? sa rockwell na lang yun nakikita ko eh, masarap pa rin bunwich nila...
