have you watched the movie "the day after tomorrow?"the movie is related to global warming.Sooner or later the glaziers/icebergs will melt and some countries will soon be like bangladesh or worst. In germany and in switzerland, they covered their glaziers with protective sheet so as to slow down the melting.this may not be new to you but if you are a hardware owner or related to construction business, incandescent bulbs will be phased out to lessen heat being produced which is one factor causing the global warming. The catch is, dispose off all the bulbs.Read this:

i believe it's inevitable naman even if the entire world unites to lessen the man-made effects of global warming. it's a cycle naman ata eh.
the "fictional" story of Noah's Ark will happen again. it's a phase wherein our earth cleanses herself.
so the best thing to do right now, dont take too much resources from nature, like eating to the max, being fat, being greedy like earning more than enough, being too thrifty/kuripot to the point of being selfish to other fellowmen and hoarding money in the banks.
perhaps nature will spare us if D-day comes

While "Global Warming" is real, the effects of human greenhouse gas production on global temperature rise is still under debate. It's not a debate of whether we're causing it, though, but on how big of an effect we have on global temperatures and whether the measures we are taking to curb warming will actually have any noticeable effect.
"The Day After Tomorrow", though, is entirely Hollywood in its treatment of the subject, and is an implausible scenario.
We've had a previous Warm Period, about a thousand years ago. Back then Greenland was actually green and not covered with glaciers, but New York wasn't actually underwater.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Yup... it's a cycle actually alternating between the earth warming up and cooling again. See the historical increase of CO2 & temperature in the artics even without the intervention of thousands of years ago:

While some of man's activities have disrupted the ecosystem (like the CFCs released to the ozone layer) nature in one blink of an eye do more "damage" than what man has been doing for hundreds of years. For example, a typical hurricane contains more energy than all of the nuclear weapons combined.
The more pressing problem is not greenhouse gases but rather toxic pollutants being released into the environment by developing countries. Some people always say that the biggest polluter in the planet is the US just because they produce the most carbon emission but that's just the tip of the iceberg. What about the numerous dead water bodies in many developing countries? The CFCs still being released into the air unchecked by developing countries? The corals destroyed & marine life being over fished?
While developed countries already have safeguards in place to prevent such environmental disasters - this practices still goes unchecked in developing countries.

true. it's like what happened in the Asian Tsunami. with the Indian Ocean being a favorite tourist destination, sobra dami nag-invest sa coast lines, tumira at nag-construct sa coast lines. siguro nagkaron ng imbalance sa ecosystem sa lugar na yun.
so what nature did was to send water ina a spread out direction to clean the coasts, and to have balance ulit.
kaya ingat kayo sa Boracay once nature finds out na andami na hotels dyan and the waste management is uncontrollable. hindi na kelangan ang green peace warning. nature will just shake the mountains of aklan, create a a monstrous landslide on to the bora sea side, and the water will do a clean splurge on station 1 to 3.

The threat associated with the cycle of global warming is real, what we can do in our own little way is to reduce use of cars when necessary....take the shuttle bus to work, fix defective evaporators of our cars and convert to ozone friendly refrigerants(for older cars) once our budget permits. We can also plant trees in our yards and join the similar eco projects like the la mesa dam ecozone, ocean cleaners inc, etc

We are earth's cancer.
Be very afraid when earth decides to proceed with radiation and chemo.

Its a cycle indeed but the thing is, the ozone layer still has a hole and it still pose a big threat to our temperature...We may not really reverse the effect man has done to mother nature but its not yet too late to reciprocate.

best way siguro instead of planting trees is to build a machine that will suck all the carbon in the atmosphere.
for example, if the amazon jungle can suck all carbon emissions of the world. create a machine that can duplicate the function of the amazon.
pwede kaya hehehe
