Usually may valet service ang mga high rollers dyan, or they have specific vehicle slots. RW is "concerned" with the security of their clients kaya they provide secure parking spaces for high rollers.

I go to RW once in awhile upon the invitation of friends, though I do not roll (wala naman akong pera, sagot ko nalang yung kwento) ..... I only eat. Sarap ng pagkain sa Genting Club, libre pa!

Strange why the prosecutor dismissed the charges...Ang tuwid na daan.

    Case vs Chinese ‘assassin’ junked
By Mike Frialde (The Philippine Star) | Updated January 11, 2014 - 12:00am

MANILA, Philippines - The Pasay City prosecutor’s office dismissed Thursday the case against a Chinese man earlier accused of being an “assassin” for a crime syndicate after he was arrested at the parking area of a casino for having a cache of guns and explosives in a car he was driving on Dec. 26, 2013.

The charges of illegal possession of guns, ammunition and explosives filed against Jerry Sy, 46, were dismissed because police officers failed to present a certificate from the Philippine National Police’s Firearms and Explosives Division, city police chief Senior Superintendent Florencio Ortilla said.

Ortilla said the prosecutor did not specify the type of certificate the police officers needed to present.

He added that Sy was able to post bail on the charge of illegal possession of drugs the Pasay police officers had also slapped on him. Sachets of shabu were also reported to have been found in the car.

“We were ordered to release him for further investigation but he remains in detention after we slapped a complaint against him for being an undocumented alien,” Ortilla said.

He said they have turned Sy over to the Bureau of Immigration. The suspect is detained at the BI jail in Camp Bagong Diwa.

    True name still unknown

Ortilla said the Pasay police will also file an additional charge against Sy for concealing his true name and identity.

“We really do not know who he really is and if he really came from Hong Kong. We are now trying to determine his identity using biometrics,” he said. According to Ortilla, Sy has refused to cooperate with investigators.

Ortilla said Sy was not able to produce his passport when he was arrested. The only document found on him was an authentic driver’s license. However, when police checked his address in Tondo, it turned out to be fake. Sy was also not able to produce any document from the BI, Ortilla said.

The white Honda Accord (conduction sticker DL-5101) Sy was driving when he was arrested and where the guns and explosives were found was later verified to be registered under the name of a certain Sharon Sy.

“The car’s certificate of registration and official receipt were authentic but the owner’s address does not exist,” said Ortilla.

Southern Police District director Chief Superintendent Jose Erwin Villacorte said they will ask the Department of Justice to look into the dismissal of Sy’s cases.

“Under the law a foreigner can not be allowed to possess a gun. Much more, he was found with explosives and silencers, which are outright illegal. Why was then he was ordered released and our cases against him dismissed?” said Villacorte.

Sy was arrested by Pasay police officers who responded to a call about an altercation at the parking area of the Resorts World Manila. The police officers said they caught Sy as he was allegedly about to stab Joseph Ang, 58, an agent of the casino.

Aside from several guns, some with silencers, boxes of bullets, and fragmentation grenades, the police officers also found gloves, a stun gun, a hatchet, various knives, a smoke grenade and metal spikes in the car Sy was driving.

Villacorte earlier said they are looking into the angle that Sy is an enforcer or an assassin working with a gang with links to casinos.

He said that initial investigation showed that Sy had attacked Ang over casino debts. According to the Pasay police, Ang desisted from filing a complaint against Sy.

    Wow!

Mafiosi talaga dating! AFAIK, since owning firearms is a mere privilege, it is the accused who should present proper documentation for all the firearms and explosives in his possession. Ang t*nga naman ng prosecutor na yun. He or she should be sacked for gross ignorance of the law.

^ On the otherside of the coin, i also heard talk that the weapons were planted by a political figure who had gambling debts to the guy. Hearsay lang ha... kwento-kwento sa kainan. The story is the car was pointed out by bodyguards of the said politico. Haaay Pilipinas.

para mapilitang umuwi ang mga tao't maka-ligo.
