    INQ7.net, GMA7

THOUSANDS of supporters and fans were allowed to view the remains of the late actor Fernando Poe Jr. in a golden brown casket at the Arlington Funeral Homes in Pasig City, GMA Network’s radio station dzBB reported on Tuesday.

Poe’s wife, actress Susan Roces, let in the supporters, who had been in the area as early as dawn Tuesday when the news came that the actor had died, the report said.

The 65-year-old actor was clad in coat-and-tie, the report said. His remains are expected to be brought to the Sto. Domingo Church in Quezon City later in the day.

    FPJ Trivia...

Old timers said that the Lo Waist Gang headed by FPJ and Erap is really a gang para labanan ang pangingikil ng Big Four noong araw sa mga artista.

Big Four is headed by Congressman baby asistio who was incarcerated and became Born Again Christian and Congressman and now a friend of Erap and FPJ

Yung floral tribute na pinadala ni GMA sa wake ni FPJ sa Sto. Domingo ay winarak ng mga FPJ supporters. It shows how immature this low-enders are, and they did it right in front of the church!

anong gagawin nila, ipaparada ung bangkay ni FPJ sa streets habang nagrarally, tulad ke arafat? e kung sila kaya ang mamatayan, at ung bangkay ng minamahal nila ung gawing "rallying point"?

Please, the guy is dead. He chose to give up a very comfortable semi-retired life to run as president(naive as it may have been). Give his family some privacy to mourn

hayaan nyo na sila...sabi nga ni ser PK, "some" people are just pure evil.

and besides...di naman papatulan ng pamilya ni FPJ yun, and those stupid acts are beyond their control...

    Susan or Loren?

Da King is dead — long live the Queen?

Not even 24 hours after action star and former presidential bet Fernando Poe Jr. succumbed to a stroke and opposition leaders were already in negotiations to find his replacement.

Ironically, the two people eyed to replace the action king are women: Susan Roces and Loren Legarda.

The United Opposition said the two are possible candidates to carry on the electoral protest filed by Poe, and eventually even win the presidency.

In his suit, Poe, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s closest rival in the May elections, claimed that the opposition was cheated of victory and that the elections were marred by massive fraud and cheating.

Opinion, however, was divided on whether Roces or Legarda could pick up where Poe left off, or if the electoral protest itself was moot and academic in view of his demise.

Ilocos Norte Rep. Imee Marcos said everything was possible, inasmuch as Poe’s last message to the opposition was “All the way, ituloy ang laban (continue the fight).”

She said Roces could easily be convinced to pick up the gauntlet for her husband’s sake, especially since the actress said as much in her statement to the public after Poe’s death.

Koalisyon ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino lawyer Demares Raval said the action star’s electoral protest against President Arroyo is “nontransferable” to Roces and would be possible only through “extrajudicial measures.”

copy and paste lang from tribune

    natawa ko rito ah.........
    ____________________________________
My cab driver was an FPJ fan but did not vote for him in the elections because he didn't think FPJ was qualified to be President. He was sure that if FPJ had not gone through the rigors of a campaign and the heartbreak of having lost, that he would still be alive today. Thus he blamed FPJ's death on Angara and the other trapos who pushed FPJ into politics where he clearly did not belong.

Then we both cringed at the thought of having come this close to a Legarda or De Castro presidency...

On the radio, Karen Davila had decided that the word “icon” was much stronger than “simbolo” or “imahen” and had moved onto interviewing someone we thought was Susan Roces so my cab driver turned up the volume and we listened. Apparently, it was not Susan Roces as someone interrupted the interview to announce that they were going to break for the real Susan Roces' press statement.

Our hearts went out to her as she wept openly in front of the press and thanked the fans for their support and prayers. She spoke quite lengthily and even reminisced about the times she spent with her husband. And then, when she had composed herself, she started taking questions, which was a surprise.

Of course, the whole time she's talking, Karen and company are commenting the way sports commentators do and I wonder if they forget that we can hear them. (One of the more intelligent comments, after Miss Roces had answered about 10 billion questions: “O parang nagsasagot siya ng mga tanong.”) At some point, Karen even “psst, psst”'s Jun, their man on the field: “Jun. Jun. Baka makasingit ka dyan. Pakitanong nga na if she could turn back time, is there anything she would want to say to FPJ na she never got to tell him.”

This is why I hate deaths. It brings out cheesy questions like this that the interviewer hopes will push some buttons that will provoke tears.

It's a good thing Susan Roces didn't bite. “Lahat ng gusto kong sabihin sa kanya nasabi ko. Hindi na kailangan pang pabalikin ang oras” (Everyone laughs.) You go, girl!

“So no regrets, ma'am?” Jun asks. “No regrets.”

Karen and company: “Ang ganda ng sagot niya.”

Even my cab driver starts rolling his eyes.

“What will Christmas be like without FPJ?” OHMYGULAY. Where did they find these clowns?!!!

“Is it true that Sen. Angara wants you to take the place of your husband as the standard-bearer of the opposition?” So much for sensitivity. Not the right time for this, Karen.

My cab driver launches into a tirade against politicians, accusing them of cashing in on the popularity of others for their political gain. We are relieved when Roces answers that she has no intentions of entering the political arena.

Before ending the interview, Davila's partner plays Roces a sound clip of FPJ singing a love song. OH GAWD. The cheese of it all! Roces gamely listens for a while but mercifully puts a quick end to it by thanking the radio hosts. After Roces is off the air, the hosts pat themselves on the back - Davila's partner even says to Jun: “Ang galing mo. Ang galing mo” for pulling off the interview with Roces. In the meantime, the rest of us think they're all idiots.

"This is the outpouring of grief of the voters who were cheated last May. This is phenomenal," Ronald Lumbao, a leader of the People's Movement Against Poverty, told the Inquirer.

Lumbao said pro-Poe voters "whose votes were cheated last May" will also hold similar "outpourings of grief" in key cities outside Manila such as Cebu and Bacolod.
namput*... epal talaga itong si Lumbao.
