i was discussing our tax system with a friend a few days ago. tama ang sabi nya, dapat ang pagpataw ng VAT, nasa dulo -- meaning, sa retail or dun sa consumers. wala na sa manufacturers and distributors. so mas less paper works sa BIR and the manufacturers.

sa OFW palang yan, +mamamayan & Enterprises pa kahit maliit ang figure$$0.0 basta ma entertain ang bawat PISO/PESOS natin..makakaya natin yang DEBTS nayan in no time gising-gising head of state..>>hehe

blame the f*ckin crab mentality of Filipinos...

everytime the economy improves a bit, there is always a contrabida to mess things around.

also... it isn't just the government that needs to improve... the private sector should also get its act straight.

basta ako tuloy business lang until 2010... change our money from peso to EURO and not US dollars... and dispose some of our assets until 2012... then go to US and Europe while waiting for the economic crash... then pagnagcrash babalik ako ng pilipinas, convert my EUROs to PESO again... bibili ng properties since mura na, buyout ng mga corporations... voila! another argentina and nicaragua opportunity!

its hard to help a country who doesnt have the initiative to help itself, thinks that they are oppressed but at the same time think too highly of themselves to follow the rules...

isa lang kasi sagot diyan eh. start your own business, it doesnt have to be big right away... it would take time, slowly but surely. ang sagot is nandun sa speech ni John Gokongwei... hindi yumayaman ang pilipinas kasi corrupt, crab mentality, imports exceeds exports... filipinos work for foreigners... filipinos should create jobs for their fellow citizens and not merely look multinational companies and be happy since malaki ang sweldo...

we shouldnt blame the government for doing corrupt things... but we should blame ourselves for tolerating evil... sa atin ilang edsa na yun naganap pero wala pa rin pagbabago... it took the French only one French Revolution para baguhin ang society... ating tatlo ng edsa pero walang pagbabago... lalo lang lumalalala... we should have a sense of unity, until that day, we should not expect to be saved from this crash...

the reason why they want VAT kahit sa manufacturers ay para ma trace ang flow ng goods and services AND earn revenue at the same time... with VAT, forced ka to declare your inputs and outputs meaning sino ang mga supplier mo, at sino ang mga customers mo... for the manufacturers and sometimes traders, hindi ganung kalaki ang impact nito since ipapasa lang naman dapat nila (at least theoretically, especially kung lahat ng transactions nila ay naka declare sa BIR)... kung na declare ng company lahat ng suppliers and customers, then the BIR can trace who among the chain is the missing link, yun ang hindi nag dedeclare at nagbabayad ng tamang taxes...

as far as collectible, talaga namang the bulk of VAT will be absorbed by the consumers... wala naman silang way to claim for input/output vat eh... businesses lang ang puwede mag claim ng input/output vat... the VAT is just being used as a monitoring system..
