CMIIW.

the use of glasses does not decrease one's grade of the eyes. neither does it guarantee that one's grade will be arrested as time passes.
from what i remember from lectures several decades old, only surgery may significantly lower one's eye grade.

many of our local eye doctors are world-class.

having seen doctors work and train abroad, i can say with straight face,
"foreign doctors do not hold the patent to quality. neither does the pilipino have exclusive rights to stupidity."
perhaps the only advantage the foreign, i.e., US, doctors, have, over us, is their seeming widespread technology.

    apologies for the strong words.
    i feel strongly, kasi.

doc ill give you an example.

Nung napuntahan ko yung endmyopia.org = napaisip ako ang dami optical shop sa pinas pero pataas ng pataas grado mas lalo pa nasira mata sa prescription glasses. But to summarize = yung grade dapat hindi exacto but less than 0.25 to make the eyes relearn to see hangang magimprove pababa ng pababa.

tapos lastweek bigla ko narecall 20years ago or more pa yung optometrist ko sabi pag nasa bahay ako eh i should use my right eye more para hindi puro left nagdadala.

Bale last ko nagsuot glasses year 2007 ata. Ngayon kailangan ko na dahil lumalabo kakasmartphone. Dati pa ako hesitant gumamit smartphone kasi nga ang liit. Kaso nadale ng datingsite videocall.

Remember nung kabataan "wag manuod malapit sa tv dahil lalabo mata." Ayan nagbago na mundo as in nakadikit na talaga sa mukha.

Kaya i need to be precise sa magiging grado para hindi magworsen. Kasi lahat kausap ko as in pataas ng pataas para makakita.

    oh ito sa facebook group

    endmyopia official

3 years of myopia progression reversed in 6 months!

I have attached my scripts since 2018 and you can see every year, my prescription has gone up. Well, for the first time ever, it went down! I couldn't believe it. My current script is what I was prescribed in 2019!

I discovered EndMyopia about one year ago and started more carefully following it January this year.

    What I did:
I had kept my 2018 prescription every year since my optometrist said the changes weren't too much (love my opto). So when I discovered EM, I used that (R: -2 L:-2/-0.25) as my baseline. I tried to go without differentials but realized my eyes were straining so I started with R: -1 L:-1/-0.25 (worked best for me). After that, I got a pair of normalized at R: -1.75 L:-1.75/-0.25.

I don't do much active focus but try to most days even just for 5 minutes (not even sure I have quite figured out active focus lol). I am a software engineer which means 8+ hours of screen time so I ensure the text on the screen is big enough and try to take 5 minute distance vision breaks every 30 minutes. When using my phone, I do not wear any glasses.

I could be A LOT more disciplined with my EM and probably get gains faster but I am happy with my progress and how my eyes feel.

Let me know if you have any questions, happy to help if I can!

Kirti you should be using your normalized any time you need to do distance vision.
I also highly recommend getting light in your eyes in the morning/early afternoon and potentially wearing your normalized while doing distance vision (either on a walk or just staring far away at things)

Jon Khaykin what's the function of getting light in your eyes? I usually wear a glass with coat when i get out, the sunlight is too bright for me, it usually make my eyes feel sour

    jon klaykin
Anni Lee there is research showing that sunlight exposure can help with myopia prevention/reduction. If you do a Google search for "sunlight myopia", you can see some of the research
