I have my reservations as well, kaya nga naghanap ako ng addl info sa web. pero I think dapat supportahan ng gov ang ganitong discoveries/inventions (like the bio-diesel backup, pero heavier support)... pati rin ng local businesses (like what Flying V is doing with Lantano's invention)... get more tests done... get more testimonies and records.... improve the product... advertize!... then let's see what happens.

But we have to get involved... even by just generating interest.

I know abt the invention of Vazquez and there are several places that use this technology. It is cheap and easy to build naman. Instead of developing or utilizing the technology ninakaw pa ng mga ayala. Up to now there is a case against the yalas for copying the technology without the permission of Vazquez

Two teams of finalists will be coming to Oregon from the Philippines. Melanie C. Melchor 16, Jayson Reggie T. Obos, 16, and Trina G. Napasindayao, 16, attend Quezon City Science High School. Their life sciences research has led them to propose a new method of determining the amount of pollutants in bodies of water. They suggest that utilizing the luminosity of Vibrio fischeri, a common marine organism, to ascertain the degree of pollution offers an effective, simple, and inexpensive method. The project grew out of students’ shared concern about environmental contamination, such as the polluted creek near their school.

Maria Katrina D. Rivera, 16, Anne Margrette C. Velasquez, 16, and Alan Ray E. Gonzalez, 16, attend Manila Science High School. Their project in physical and applied science was prompted by their concern about industrial heavy metal waste disposal in the Philippines. They focused on green mussels, common in the waters around the Philippines, because mussels demonstrate a capacity to endure the harmful effects of heavy metals. The students developed a chemically modified carbon paste electrode from green mussels that can detect and magnetize lead, aiding in environmental protection and clean up.
