If you talk about point guards, don't forget about Jason Kidd, the best pure point guard today despites Starbury's claims, look at New York what a pitty.

Now back to the comparo, I believe we are comparing Kobe and Lebron coz they are two of the best swingman in the NBA who can literally do it all. M54 is right, Kobe is almost always double teamed, James is not, Lebron has better team around him, remember a game last season when Kobe had 54pts AFTER 3 quarters, or the 2 straight triple double games this season, enough said.

    kaka miss si pongky...

hindi naman the best si starbury eh...tignan mo yung ex teams niya gumaling nung umalis siya.

Wolves...naging playoffs team ( maski 1st round lang)
    Nets...naging 2 time East
Suns...The Record lang naman as of now.

    o MaGic vs LeBron...

Magin has 5 rings, James has none.... yet. For LBJ to get there, he needs a better support cast around him, can't do it alone.

I don't think Lebron has better teammates around him than Kobe's. Both of their teammates are as capable as each other. Z vs. Mihm, Kobe vs. Lebron, Butler vs. McCinis, Odom vs. Gooden. I think both teams are equal to one another.

I think Lebron can also be a good defender just as Kobe. Remember the LA vs. Cavs, He did guard Lamar Odom and did pretty well on that. He also defended other players in the 2 Guard, 2 forward positions. The only part missing is defending a legit center. Actually, Odom plays a Center/forward position so that means he can guard the 5 spots. He has a wide body, height, speed, agility and jumping ability to guard his opponents. He is also 2nd in steals in the NBA and can do better on defense if asked by his coach. The only problem is that, the task has been given to Ira Newble & McInnis for James to conserve his energy during crunch time. He can be the 2nd coming of Julius Erving-Magic Johnson-Michael Jordan combined.

Like what I said before LBJ is a Magic Johnson Hybrid with insane hops. I don't think you can compare him with MJ, MJ is a relentless scorer who almost always in attack mode, Lebron has his moments.

    well said...

IMO, it is still too early to seriously compare Lebron with the other marquee players. give him around 3 years and I hope that he joins the likes of Jordan.

also, with Kobe being compared left and right, it seems that he has already established himself well in the NBA. what he needs is a good wingman (not another scorer like Shaq) for the Lakers to blossom - think Pippen during the Chicago Bulls dynasty. good d, rebounder and can help in the scoring if needed.

GUys, hindi ninyo ba napansin na lahat ng may no.9 jersey ay Highflyers..meron similarity?

Jordan wore no.9 during olympics and wears no.23 in the NBA.
    Samboy lim wears no.9
Bong Alvarez wore no.9 and no. 23
Lebron James' no.23 jersey and no.9
Vince Carter wearing no.9 jersey in Olympics
