Emergency replacement card for lost credit card while travelling

My wife is in HK now and nawala wallet nya, including 2 credit cards. Called the card companies to send replacement cards to her hotel, within Philippines lang daw sila pwede magpadala ng cards.

I thought these credit card companies will send emergency replacement cards while travelling. Nasa ads nila mga yan dati. Pero di pala totoo?

Nagpadala nalang ako ng pera sa western union.

Wife called Amex HK, dapat daw tawagan sila ng Amex Phils. Sabi naman ng Amex Phils, di nila magagawa yun. Labo.

for extreme cases, pwede naman ipadala abroad ang card but usually thr cardholder pays for card replacement and cost of shipping.

many years ago, 1990s, nung hindi pa kami gumagamit ng credit cards, nasa hand bag ng mom ko lahat ng pocket money sa hong kong. when we were going down the escalator, may kunwaring may nahulog yung isang tao sa unahan so pinulot nya, naturally, magkukumpol mga tao sa baba ng escalator, then biglang napansin ng mom ko na nakabukas na hand bag nya. pagtingin nya wala na yung pera sa loob.

we looked around for anyone running, then yung nasa harap ng escalator na may pinulot shouted "ayun!" pointing to one side of the mall, but we saw someone outside running so yun ang hinabol namin. we never stopped chasing until the robber run into a dead end street. before namin sya maabutan, he just threw all the money to the street. buti nalang mahigpit pagkagoma ng pera and hindi nagkalat.
