Everyone we give it to loves it as well.

Be sure to get from the shop along Quezon Ave.

They used to be based at the shop along Speaker Perez but I think they had some internal problems and the relatives (brothers?) split up.

We didn't know about this and ordered from the Speaker Perez branch by mistake. We were wondering why it didn't taste so good anymore.

Then we found out about the problem and about the other branch along QA.

We tried the QA one and it was the same lechon we loved so we always get from them.

Every now and then when there is an occasion where we ordered from them before, they would even call a few days ahead and ask if we would like to order since we ordered one on so and so day last year.

    That's pretty impressive "after sales".

    Hope this helps.

    :regards:

a search through google found out that they split nga. but some people would highly recommend the one on speaker perez and not the one q. ave for the same reason: taste.

i guess iba iba talaga ang taste ng tao.

its better if i try both and find out myself

I like the lechon at Elar's.

Just be careful -- there's an "Elar's" and also an "Elarz".

The original one is now on Quezon Ave, from Speaker Perez. "Elarz" now occupies the location of the original (on Speaker Perez).

its soooo good! mas malasa ang laman.

imho, mas sulit bumili dito kesa sa laloma.. hindi nila sinasama yung big bones sa kilo and generous sila magbigay ng balat

Elar's lechon pretty much tastes like the pig we kill and roast in our backyard (my aunt has a piggery). Nothing really fancy for me.

But the Elar's store is near our place and is quite a convenient place to order lechon from.

Saan po? Sa Bulacan lang po kami pwede mag-lechon. Wala pong gamit dito sa Q.C.

Yung Elar's along the way kapag pauwi from UST.
