Galing ni Efren.

One of the reasons daw kaya hindi na maka ratsada si Efren sa World Pool Championship and sa mga other tournaments ay dahil daw sa jump cues. Yun daw ang pumatay sa game of billiards today kasi nawala na ang creativity ng mga billiard players. Taiwanese players usually depend on the jump stick more than their counterparts. I tend to agree that it kills the creative game of billiards. According to Efren, hindi mo na daw maitago ang bola sa jump cues.

But there a lot of players now who can beat efren as he lost his advantage on safety shots... his admission of this fact in the article below:

as of this time, trailing si efren (2-7) against a japanese opponent sa first game nya sa World Pool Championship. looks like malabo na makahabol. loser's bracket na punta nya. :sad:

Aside from Father Time telling him that he's lost some of the touch that made him a Hall of Famer, Efren "Bata" Reyes believes that one very accepted piece of equipment has given the other players an advantage over him--the jump cue.

"I was really unbeatable in the 1980s," Reyes, 53 and a grandfather to a girl and a boy, told a handful of scribes in Filipino Friday during the most recent launch of the 2007 World Pool Championships.

"That was because I can play any safety shot and give my opponents a hard time," Reyes, the 1999 world champ, added. "At this day and age, no amount of cover (on the cue ball) can give you an advantage, because players can just jump the balls and hit their targets."

I'm not into billards, pero bakit hindi na tinira itong last ball? Nagconcede nalang ba si Strickland?
