7.2 at the richter scale in Bohol and several after shocks. The tall towers/steeples of the INC building in Cebu fell off. Hope everything is okay.

The grand piano at home actually moved and all the picture frames on top fell and broke

is this different from intensity 7.2? the same ba yung term na magnitude & intensity?

My sister was at Cebu Mactan. Good thing they already left Sumilon yesterday.

Sad to see the damage. Hope our kababayans are relatively okay and that our inutile government can provide immediate support.

Glad to hear my family and relatives are all safe back home except for a few broken glasses and vases. Funny my in-laws told me the pet monkey committed suicide before the quake by hanging herself with her chain. She was 20+ years old.

Sensitive talaga animals to such natural occurences. Sad naman nangyari sa pet monkey mo... He probably has more intelligence compared to certain political animals I know.

sayang as in sayang yung mga simbahan!
dito samin sa caloocan, i feel sad when 100+ year old houses were torn down or were simply abandoned and forgotten by their owners and were left to rot.
these structures witnessed war and glory. if they could only talk i would be all heart to listen.
i believe that some of these churches were even 300 years old.
i just hope that they'll be restored, though not soonly.

I agree though, i enjoy looking at old houses and churches (i used to go on road trips just for such) and it's a shame a lot are not kept well anymore and are eventually destroyed. Pag may kinakahoy na ganyan, dinadayo talaga ng mga tiga-Maynila, furniture shop, etc. para ibili yung wood (usually rock solid Narra) and furniture.

Yung isang simbahan sa Bohol na nasira (the one beside Loboc), yan yung may siraulong gumawa ng bridge papunta sa simbahan na hindi mo alam kung saan dapat idadaan without destroying the church (so naging white elephant).

I've seen this one when we cruised the Loboc river. Now the engineer can say, " i was thinking ahead of time". Demolish the church as nature has did it already and proceed with the bridge.
