hindi naman magkaka-tsunami sa Manila bay. sobrang layo ang deep water from the bay itself. baka sa cavite, bataan puwede pa kasi nasa outskirts na sila ng Phil. map

if you're in MoA or reclamation when there is an earthquake, ang katakutan nyo sinking ng lupa.

I have thought of that when I was at a bay side resto of MoA. gano ko kabilis tatakbuhin ang Heritage Hotel Pasay? or will I have time to get my car from the multi-level parking hehehe

time factor sa tingin ko + high magnitude. like the July '90 quake na na-experience ko, almost a minute but it seems that it took forever.

malamang while running, makikita mo mag-crack roads dyan sa macapagal.

so if it will take you 10 minutes (very optimistic kung track and fielder ka pa) to run from bay side resto to pasay, tapos yun quake eh hindi tumigil ng 3 minutes at magnitude 6 or more, yari ka na. and that's not even including the 1 minute denial stage na "is this really happening?" and your body freezes for a brief moment.

anyway, useless to hope na din kahit makarating ka sa pasay coz * 3 minutes magnitude 6 and above, baka gunaw na din ang pasay and the rest of Metro Manila.

Three people have died following a magnitude 6.1 earthquake at 8.00am local time (11.00pm BST) as walls collapsed and furniture fell.

At least 234 people have been injured, according to public broadcaster NHK.

One of those who has died is a 9-year-old schoolgirl, struck down by rubble as she made her way to school.

Commuters found their route to work in disarray as subway and bullet trains were halted in order to check for damages.

Damn. This is a strong earthquake. I've experienced an earthquake in Osaka a couple of years ago, if I remembered it correctly. I was in my hotel room and I noticed that the furniture were moving about. I looked out the window and the buildings were swaying. I was on the 14th floor. It only lasted for a few seconds, then, some aftershocks here and there. There's only one thing on my mind and that is, how do I escape when I only had a towel on, lol.
