i think it all boils down to upbringing and i think 'dumb' is not the right word. my two-year old son can almost operate all our appliances at home. he picks up fast and will imitate anything that you do. I think the right word here is 'numb', generation nowadays lack social responsibility, politeness and just plain old courtesy.

it's not the kids's fault but the parents who forgot to teach them

Just head on over to TipidPC and check out the dumb comments some people put on the items of the sellers.
Kitang kita na nga, "32GB SDHC Class10, LAST PRICE, NO SWAP, etc." Tapos meron pa ring magpopost, "Gudam ser, aNu pU last prc?" or "Anu po ang speed nung mem car nyu? At last price pu?" or "Sir, R U willing to swap with 8gb MSDUO plus casH?"
Taga anong generation kaya yung mga potential buyers na yon?

meh, you're citing just one guy out of an entire generation. being wired is what made this generation dumb in the first place - retaining information isn't really required anymore, you can just search for everything online.
