Not sure if there is an existing thread, nonetheless here I go... please share your 2 cents worth of driving do's and don'ts... I'll start...
Keep intersection open.
Example.

Please fall in line.
If you plan to turn left at an intersection, please queue up at the proper left turn lane. Please don't hog the middle lane just because the queue on the left lane is already long.
Merge alternately.
Magbigayan and merge into traffic alternately. Example, yung naunang car sa iyo nag-merge, be courteous and sunod yung car sa katabi mong lane, tapos ikaw... huwag mag-tailgate sa katapat mong car tapos kapag nag merge siya eh gitgitin yung nasa katabi mong lane para maunahan mo yung katabi mo. Magbigayan wag gulangan... kahit paunti-unti ang usad basta gumagalaw ang traffic. Ganyan dapat diba.
Kapag traffic na, unless permitted by an authority directing traffic, huwag nang palalain ang situwasyon by counterflowing... lalo na at kung maliit/masikip lang ang daan. Mag U-turn ka nalang at maghanap ng alternate route but do not counterflow... please!!!... bukod sa dagdag traffic, dangerous manuever ang counterflow.

Maintain a safe distance to the car in front of you.
Paano sinusukat ito? Simple lang.
Sa highway, have the 3-second interval when running at about 80 kph. First thing is to have a reference point, example a light post ahead, when the vehicle in front of you passes the light post, count 3 seconds after it has passed then you should be passing the same light post after the 3 second mark. Lumalaki ito as you gain speed. Ano ang significance nito? To have adequate stopping distance when emergency halimbawa, biglang nag-preno yung nasa harap, at least you have enough time to brake too before hitting the one in front.
Be aware of the 'blind spots or corners' on vehicle and intersections.
Normally, collisions often occur because one party didn't see you. Example sa truck & busses, as much as possible, avoid mo yung right side nila lalo na kapag nasa hulihan ka nila. try not to overtake them on the right side of the road dahil hindi ka nila nakikita masyado. Pag biglang nag-swerve yan sa lane mo, bale wala na ang busina mo, pisak ka pa!
Sa blind intersections naman, minor lang mga mga parekoy. Be ready to stop.
give way...always use signal lights when turning and changing lanes...since wala speed limit sa atin, drive accordingly w/ the speed of traffic..di yung ang takbo ng traffic is 60kph ang takbo ng iba ay 100, pinipilit unahan lahat....pero ang pinaka dapat madisiplina a yung puvs..sila ang nakakapag painit ng ulo ng private motorists
Hindi manghuhula ang mga driver. Simply they are drivers. Isang reason bakit may nagkakasabitan is hindi sumisignal or mali ang interpretasyon ng intention ng isang motorista.
The mirror say it all, if you don't check your six, chances are you're going to get hit on the other cheek.
Yun ba talaga ang "rule of thumb" dito or "disiplina isyu" ito.
"No right turn on red signal" means no right turn on red signal
This is so simple, yet people behind continually honk their horns when someone stops on the rightmost lane waiting to turn right. Either they don't know how to read or don't see the signs.
NO LEFT TURN when the left turn light is RED, even if the intersection and/or opposite lane is empty.
Countless times I see cars that will temporarily stop at a red left turn light. Then, when the coast is clear, the driver will turn left even if the light is still red. If you happen to be the front liner in the intersection, bubusinahan ka rin nung nasa likod. Most often, magka-counter flow siya just to turn left.
Stay in a lane at all times. Change lanes properly (don't swerve). Don't eat up more than one just because tinatancha mo yung traffic. Do it within your lane... don't tail gate so you can see what is infront of the vehicle before you.
Signal your intent to change lane and proceed when traffic permits... sa mga oncoming naman, kapag nakita niyo na na nagsi-signal, be courteous enough to let the signaling vehicle change lane (huwag biglang harurot para unahan)... tsk, tsk, tsk mga pinoy talaga oh... bigayan dapat hindi unahan... kaya tuloy yung ibang lilipat ng lanes ang ginagawa manggigitgit or isusubo bigla ang nguso ng kotse sa lane, kasi ayaw mamigayng mga parating na sasakyan. (sigh!)
