i saw someone yesterday, coat and tie, new crv...he looks very formal and all...and he has a personal driver...

i know that all tsikoteers here came from all walks of life...i'm just wonderin'...do you have a personal driver or do you "drive" your car?

...or!...if you can afford a personal driver, would you consider having one?

Since way back when I started to drive, I never relied on a driver...have been driving myself around...the only problem I see when you drive alone is when you're in a hurry but can't find a nice parking space...other than that I never considered hiring myself a personal driver...plus drivers have different driving styles...and I wouldn't want my ride to break down prematurely.

I'm no coat and tie guy but we also have a driver.

For our needs like fetching my kid and wife our driver comes in real handy even though he is now a bit old. He also doubles to help me in maintaining our cars. I feel lucky that he was a former 'old school' mechanic so I also learn a lot from him.

Depends. Drivers ok din para sakin on long trips or when parking is an issue and of course when I don't know the route myself. But to go to and from work, I rather drive myself...

    No.

    and

No unless I'm 90 years old and can't drive anymore or maybe if I was a VIP whose driver also doubles as a bodyguard. You know, the one who'll take the bullet for me.

I think the very concept of drivers and maids are some of the things that keep the Pinoy have and have nots divided.

Depends on where we're going and the time. Since malayo pa ang province namin, if we're going to attend a wedding or whatever in Metro Manila during the night, I'll most probably get a driver.

I love driving. So most of the times, I drive. Sometime, I have driver(s) - the jeepney, bus, fx or mrt driver.

with driver .. if you can afford ha .. if hindi naman mabigat may driver much better if you have one .. pero in our case may driver kami pero halos di nakakapag drive except on long trips, bcoz kami kami rin ang nagdadrive .. taga linis, park, bantay, taga palit ng flat na tire, taga check ng makina and etc lang driver namin ..

I personally drive myself, but when I have an opportunity to use the family driver... why not? Time is money, and the time I spend driving, I could be doing something else, typing, reading or sleeping (so that I don't feel like a dog that's been worked half-to-death by the time I get to my meetings, one or two hours after I leave the house.)

But on non-work trips? Driving is half the fun.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

we have a family driver to pick up the kids and the wife. i only use the driver when im running late, to save some time in searching for a parking space and if he's only dropping me off. but i always drive for family trips. he's been with us for a long time, siya pa ang driver ni wifey nung dalaga pa. we kept him eventually kasi ang tagal na niya sa family eh.

    Nope...

    hahhahahahaha

Ha ha ha am guilty here. Di pa kasi ako sanay magdrive driver and husband lagi kasama. I'm just a passenger but a barking one, pinapagalitan ang driver pag sobrang
    bilis ang pagdrive.

    yup guilty too-- i'm a wife's driver...

teka may mali ba dun, or prone sa misinterpretation?? hehehe

anywayz, tuturuan ko si esmi magdrive, for emergency purposes, paano nalang kung ako ang dapat itakbo sa hospital/ napilay ako while nasa vacation kami....

but on the other note--- may driver ako pag tinatamad ako mag-drive or maghahanap ng parts hehehe.. or siyempre pag may aatenan akong formal engagements...

driver or no driver?
