Please give me advice whether to drive my own car to work or take the MRT.

    - I live in kamuning, QC and go to work at ortigas from 10-7pm
    - manual transmission car
    - Bus and cabs are not an option. Bus is slower both and taxi too expensive hard to come by

    MRT:
    Pros - Fast, cheap
Cons - Super grabe siksikan during rush hour

    Own car:
    Pros - comfort
Cons - long travel time, bad for engine

^^car so you could bring your essential stuff without running the risk of becoming a pickpocket victim.

whenever i'm in manila, i'd rather take the cab than taking the mrt...i don't wanna be in constant paranoia that i might lose my phone and wallet.

car kasi parang extension na ng bahay mo...pang gimik mo na clothes pwed mo dalhin...wehehehe...overnight bag na din..

if money and parking and/or fees are not a concern, drive your car, there's no substitute in driving with privacy not to mention that you can bring along your desired accessories, gadgets etc. but sometimes practicality comes to our minds and for me one pros of these is to save much more than usual

You could also consider getting a motorcycle or scooter. I used to ride one in my daily commute since 2001 until my work required me to bring a car. How does 30-40 Km/L grab you? :D Well, everything comes at a price and sacrifices have to be made.

Given your specific case... Drive man, drive!

O kaya, ba't di mo kaya i-try -> 1 week MRT, 1 week driving your own car. Tapos decide kung saan ka happy, at hindi mukhang na-harrass at nalapastangan

Thanks for your inputs. I've experimented and I think it's better to drive. When I take the MRT parang mainit ulo ko buong araw.

Drive to work or take MRT?
