girl name for me. (although mahirap pag may gf ka..kasi may pagseselosan)
We call it "Macho". My in-laws have a nickname for their own vehicle: "Pogi". Their previous ride, an owner-type jeep, was called "Dayunyor".
I'm thinking of naming our cars like Labradors since one is yellow, the other is black, and both are very reliable cars, both MB, and both love adventures!
Yung Corolla namin na 1992 eh askal hehehe
yes. our tsikots have nicks. the seemingly trivial effort of choosing names for the cars build a bit of emotional attachment. helps us take care of our rides better.
i tend to give my cars humorous names (botchok, buknoy). wifey on the other hand calls her rides aris(totle) and plato.
yeah... named them just for kicks... hahaha! red car "samantha", burly SUV "thump", a small ish suv with subs (now sold) "boom", our everyday ride "dirt" lol and momas sedan "skirt"
named them when we got them just for kicks... lol
yeah :-)
my 1st car, a pre-loved car acquired in 2000 was Jubilee ... next car from same manufacturer was JJ ... now am using another pre-loved reliable car i fondly call Panday :-)
Contour, Sonata, Laser.
Naming cars or any objects...... Personally I think it's a little nutty. But different people, different tastes......
Sharlene - the M-14 (Full Metal Jacket)
This is my rifle
There are many like it but this one is mine
My rifle is my best friend.........
- Gomer Pyle, the totally whacked-out recruit

been giving names to my cars ever since i can remember and i look at them as females...different cars have different characters, even for 2 exactly the same models (year, mileage, etc)..and you have to handle each one differently...names make my ride a personal thing and that way you really take good care of them...also your ride won't likely fail on you...yun lang nga may danger of being too attached which makes it difficult to let go of them later on
..but surely you'll get a higher resale value when the time to move on comes

Ford 17M - Magnum
Toyota Corolla Sprinter - Popoy
Nissan Sentra - Marvin
Mitsubishi Lancer - Ester

We called them
Nissan Sentra = Green
Nissan Sentra = Red

Even if we already sold Green, if we see her on the road my son would exclaim, "Ay si Green o!!"
