It would be ridiculous to deny that companies dont discriminate an applicant education. There are many firms that only employ new grads only from certain schools. In architecture, numerous firms are UST only wherein any UST graduate will be prioritized against a Cum Laude from Mapua or Feu. In large organizations, such as DMCI or etc. would give a UST, UP, or DLSU engineer a higher salary right out of college (a graduate from those 3 colleges would easily get 20, whereas others would get 12-15k).
The main advantage of graduating from a prestigious university is getting a first job. It will be much easier to get a job and they will undoubtedly pay you a little more. At a young age (25-30), your main accomplishment will still be the university you graduated from. However one day it will no longer matter, for your accomplishments will no longer be you education.
Nobody will care where a successful 60 year old professional graduated from, however he will care where his potential interns graduated from.
It's looking a lot like a certain cruiser with that color scheme.
