But then again. Any rubber pwede kainin ng gilid ng escalator. Reminds me of those "free shoe brush" at the side of the escalators, I'm stupid enough to clean the side of my leather shoes on that side brush, didn't realize it's to block our foot on that dangerous gap.
it's probably the dikit factor, plus the softness of the footgear.

first,
if the footgear were soft, it probably stands a bigger chance of getting swallowed up by the escalavator.
but if the footgear were firmer, less chance of getting swallowed up, in my opinion.

then,
cleaner rubber/plastic items do stick more to metal walls, and dry/dirty plastic/rubber items don't stick to metal walls as much.
