As far as I remember, the Friendster team advised all account holders to export and save their profiles, and they're given until the end of May 2011 to do so. Friendster will then perform a clean up to launch the new Friendster which will be turned into a game-oriented site. Accounts themselves will not be deleted but blogs and images could be.

No FB or any personal social networking accounts for me. Too lazy and disinterested to maintain these.

I do have some test accounts that my team uses for integration and development work when we use the various social networking APIs.
