I heard him interviewed on FM radio after the LTO press conference. And he was saying that LTO was "deflecting" the issue, when I felt LTO was simply explaining why reckless driving ang violation. Kasi in his initial FB post, yun ang issue niya aside from the fact na hindi nila nabayaran ang fine dahil sa lumampas sa 15 calendar days deadline.

Ang hindi ko narining sa kaniya, bakit walang papeles ang sasakyan, at medyo nabobohan ako sa assumption niya na ang reckless driving would put a criminal record on his son (affecting the boy's future).

A case of whataboutism, deflection and gaslighting?

Yup, he is definitely gaslighting. I'm glad LTO isn't giving in to him because he is an "influencer".

The office asking for OR/CR seems legit too since it turned out the car his son was driving turned out to be completely unregistered. IMO this is on the manufacturer as much as it is on him, but he did try to weasel his way out of it. Maybe the LTO should have communicated better why they were asking for it (or maybe they did and we're only hearing about this from Deakin/ARTA).

With that said, I wouldn't mind if the rest of us got some benefit out of his fight with the LTO. Faster processing of transactions, deadlines only applying to business days, etc. would be nice.
Sana he made payag nalang sa "lagay". More or less, baka pinalusot pa sila since culture naman ang corruption itc. Kasi kahit mag comply pa sila properly, hahanapan at hahanapan lang din ng butas ala BIR kaya naging big issue pa in the end.

2 types of people who will never side with James deakin.

-Motoring journalists envious of his success. Imagine reviewing the same cars, pero sya may endorsements pa. And arguably the biggest name in that field.

-kakampinks, kasi antiwoke sya, and medyo DDS sya or he hang out with dds people pa.

But why can’t these people see that he’s actually fighting the bureaucratic red tape?

And then there’s the reckless driving violation, so guys expect every local traffic enforcer adding that to every traffic violation, favorite pa naman nila yun swerving.

So mukhang super happy siya since nakuha niya ang result na hinahanap niya.

I don't think so. Subtle lang pero may mga rants din siya dati sa previous admin na yun.

I thought DDS sya, kasi he is with PGMN na medyo DDS.

Anyway we should at least be thankful sa kanya with regards to the 15day settlement thing, at least now its working days not calendar days. Hoping it appllies to all gov’t offices. Hilig pa naman declare ng nonworking holidays ang gov’t.

3rd: Anti-kamote in on all its forms and vehicle (2 or more wheels). His son did what all of us here hate.

I have nothing against James D. pero I agree na nakaka-inis yung mga sumisingit sa exit, fly over, mall parking.

I even have a post sa Road Rage thread about it.

Pero sana... the enforcer directed him to move forward and use the other exit... just like what any other normal person would do. ang nakaka-inis (din) sa ginawa ng enforcer is allowing him na sumingit tapos binigyan na lang sya ng ticket.
