I'm in between I still agree with his advocacies.

But he does have haters na throwing shade at him at other social media pages.

At the very least, sponsorships allow him to pursue advocacies better; which in a good number of cases have been helpful to the general/motoring public in terms of concrete outcomes or at least raising awareness.

Re: sa Marcos thing, would you do it knowing you'll receive millions but lose your dignity in the process? BUT! you bring food to the table.

Although we're OT, Marcos is a different issue really. The bread winner of our family (back in the Marcos years) was faced with the decision of allowing a conjugal Marcos order to be done (and keeping his job), or sticking to his principles... he chose the latter and resigned from his job even if it brought more financial uncertainty to a large, growing family in a country facing crisis.

the way i see it if someone endorses something that he does not believe in then that is lying. there is nothing decent there.

from another perspective, it is like asking what is the difference between a soldier and a mercenary. both get paid for their services, but one believes in what he is doing and the other just wants to "put food on the table".

Basta sa akin nasira siya sa uber and grab issue. Yes, maganda yun advocacy niya but he was paid to do it. Again nothing wrong Pero dapat sinabi niya.

Now, I don't know Kung siya ang lumapit sa TNVS to offer his service or siya ang nilapitan pero dapat sinabi niya yun.

Which brings me back to my original point - "cheap" man, wala siya pake. Pera pa rin yan, sayang naman. Marangal na trabaho pa rin yan.

On the question of why he doesn't turn down opportunities just because ok naman na siya - kung mapapagaral ko anak ko sa Ivy League school dahil sa dami ng endorsements ko, aba why not. Yes komportable na kong mapagaral anak ko sa Ateneo o La Salle, but I'd want to be able to provide if kunwari nagkachance siya mag-Ivy League.

Dami kong batchmates nung HS ang tataas ng SAT scores, pasado sana sa mga US schools. Pero nakatuloy lang samin mag-aral sa US yung kaibigan kong mayaman, dahil sobrang mahal magpaaral dun.

I doubt na gumagamit siya ng Bench cologne, Rejoice shampoo, or Talk n Text, but siyempre kung kinuha siyang endorser sayang naman.

I don't think Deakin cares whether a random stranger thinks he's cheap or not. Heck, the guy didn't even care much about the association to Marcos.

Like I said, a person's financial standing has nothing to do it. I don't care if the person endorsing left or right is an Ayala, Aboitiz, Rufino, Gaston, Rothschild, Rockefeller or Vanderbilt. Kapag lahat pinatulan, kahit gaano pa sila kayaman, it's still cheap.

It seems like people nowadays just want more and more money. Money-centric society na. Wala ng satisfaction. When does one stop because you will always want more and more. Boss ko may satisfaction (which I admire so much). Okay lang if you earn more and more without sacrificing your integrity pero that's not always the case. Yung left and right endorsements, deceit with TNVS, associating with Marcos...

I do agree that other people's opinion should not affect us naman talaga. I'm just stating my thoughts about him. And I am done doing so.
