gretzy, the caribbean cruises are a lot of fun - you have a lot of fun on the ship, there's so much to do, and the food is good quality and there's plenty of it.
maraming couples/families, pero may mga singles din na looking for love. a lot of the staff are pinoy too.
the only drawbacks to it are that the caribbean is in many ways like the philippines in terms of scenery and climate, so baka parang asian cruise din yun. also, you can get really good deals on the cruise (it's off peak season now) but you'll still have to shell out big bucks for the plane fare to miami.
gretz may pirces ako sa office together with the brochures daan ka na lang sa office. dun kami malapit sa may chocolate kiss. may rates kami dun ng star cruises di lang ako pumasok sa office ngayn eh. pinagtabi na kita ng brochures ng star, discovery and celebrity cruises
Was on a star cruise June 2002. Its like taking the super ferry kaya this one is clean. Whats nice is that 80% of the crew are Filipinos. Lots people to talk to when you get bored. It was a 5 day cruise based in singapore, then will go to thailand, then malaysia, back to singapore then KL malaysia. Had really bad experiences though, but I can't say here. Private message na lang. Solid yun. Try it!
go for it. its a great way to relax. lots of filipino crew members so you wont feel lost even if all your co-passengers are non filipinos.
one advise though. dont treat the filipino crewmembers are servants. treat them as friends and talk to them as professionals no matter what their work is (front desk, waiter, coffee attendant, photographer)
their hard earned money is what is keeping our economy afloat
