Isa pa yun. My source tells me now that the norm nowadays is that less than 50% of the approved budget for any government construction makes it to the project.

I don't think they'll push through with Shell's double taxation though. How will they fuel the cars on their motorcades if Shell stops importation?

You said it. Meanwhile, professional squatters enjoy rent-free, tax free housing and no income tax. Ang bilis yumaman ng mga ito. In some areas they have erected up to 3 storey buildings with a/c and rent them out, again, tax free. And some of them drive nice SUVs.

Why don't they tax and penalize the small and medium businesses that aren't even BIR-registered instead? There are a LOT of them out there. Harassing big companies like Shell will scare away more investors (becoming a trend). Instead of rewarding our top taxpayers, they harass them and let these unregistered SMEs get away with next to no tax contrubutions.

Maybe government vehicles should have a warning message printed on them similar to booze and packs of smokes.

It should read: "Greed moderately."

cant blame them, they have to do this to be in power and being in power is their means of livelihood. They are just doing what they need to do to live a good life just like the business people do.
