im going to take BS-Management in ADMU.. any advice? for ateneo life and college life in general?

kelangan matiyaga ka pare! step up when you have to, kasi minsan, di mo talaga maiiwasan na free riders yung mga kasama mo sa klase. enjoy college! its the last step before entering the real world! pero 1st thing's first, enjoy the last few days of being a high schooler during summer! party na yan!!!! hehe! kelan ORSEM?

mahirap ang fil 11, 12, at 14. magagaling lahat ng filipino faculty (pwera kay Dr. Hornedo), so huwag kang iiyak kasi medyo mahirap talaga yan. hehehe. for your natsci (which you need to take for 2 sems), pumili ka according to your interests, pero ES at chem yung pinaka-popular na choices. zoology, botany, at physics yung ibang choices.

may dress code sa SOM (school of management) building. mahigpit din yung dean ng SOM. hehe. bawal tsinelas at open footwear sa SOM building.

for your PE, ikaw pipili niyan. try to get PE101 as early as you can (pero usually reserved for sophomores ito sa 1st sem, so baka 2nd sem or sa 2nd year mo pa makukuha iyan). Mr. Augustus Vargas is a very VERY easy PE teacher.

pwede ka pang makalipat ng course before 1st sem reg (that is, kung gusto mo), basta open pa yung balak mong lipatan at abot yung standing mo sa standards nung course na lilipatan mo.

and for reg, study the registration procedures that will be mailed to you. hehehe. whatever you do, DONT forget your valid ID, regform, PRINTED and SIGNED proxy letters (kung may ipoproxy ka o magpapaproxy ka), etc etc. btw, each student can only proxy for one other student. hehe. last year kasi nung freshmen registration, merong magpoproxy sana for seven students. hehehe, bawal yun, mahahassle ka lang ng sobra sobra.

at yung reg ngayon is by pre-assigned random number per school (as in school of management, school of social sciences...). so hindi mo na kailangan pumila ng 3:00 am during reg tulad ng dati hehe. yun nga lang, malas lang talaga kung very late na yung number mo, although mas problema ng juniors and seniors yan. and DONT miss your number during reg.

anyway, matagal pa naman yung reg niyo hehe. enjoy the LAST SUMMER vacation you'll have hehehehe

hmmm actually i passed legal management but i want to shift to management only.. which has a hier tier legal man or man only? i feel like my test grades are high enough to shift to man.. il hand in my letter for request as soon as i get my report card..

anung mga reg? parang ang hassle ah, registration to the course you are applying for?

party talaga! nakplano na mga beaches para sa buong summer haha..

im looking forward to girls haga! finally new faces, sawa na ako sa high school faces haha..

reg = enrollment. kaso yung enrollment sa college includes, aside from paying tuition, signing up for the classes you want (for freshmen, PE and natsci lang yung isisign up mo). yung mga mahuhuli sa reg, mga terror teachers nalang yung matitira hehehe, kaya napaka-exciting talaga ng reg! lalo na pagdating mo ng third year at fourth year! :D

halos pareho lang naman yung "tier" ng legal management at management. pero sa tingin ko hindi naman dapat yun yung basehan mo ng pagpili ng course hehe

De La Salle Zobel, i have seen the light, the blue light hehe.. deh, gs2 ko naman maiba yung crowd. sa taft kasi parang high school lang yun na nadagdagan pa ng mga tao..

dati kasi gs2 ko mag LAW parang ok na pre-law yung legal man. eh ngayon parang gs2 ko nalang mg bizness so management nalang..

anu ba yung mahirap na natsci?

physics na ata pinakamahirap. mahirap din yung chem sa admu, pero yung chem 1 and 2 (natsci for non-science majors) almost exactly like HS chem lang, so medyo madali lang naman. yung zoology at botany maraming memorization.

botany the best! super dali, pero di ko na maalala kung sino teacher ko eh hehe!

It's very easy to get lazy, kaya resist the temptation!

Word hard and early. 4 years lang yan. It'll pay off once you get to the real world. Ok lang pa-party-party, wag lang before a test (hehe).

Join orgs, have lots of friends (students and faculty). Kain sa Manang's!

Try to listen to upperclassmen, especially about the teachers.

Last advice: Philo opens your mind.

From what I heard about mgt and the school of mgt. It's not a walk in the park. Highlight ng stay mo ang accounting and finance subjects that will be HARD. Many smart students needed tutors just to guide. Pati tutor na CPA nahirapan sa mga homework ng basic accounting.

I am not a management student so all these stories come from my friends. Blockmate ko nga dati si mbt noong freshmen pa kami. Kaya lang nakakita ng maraming chicks sa BS PSYCH kaya lumipat... joke lang marvin
