"Cold turkey" is a slang expression describing the actions of a person who gives up a habit or addiction all at once. That is, rather than gradually easing the process through reduction or by using replacement medication. Its supposed advantage is that by not actively using supplemental methods, the person avoids thinking about the habit and its temptation, and avoids further feeding the chemical addiction.

i've gone cold turkey on smoking several times na. somehow, i tend to light up again eventually.

ngayon i've quit quitting. hindi na lng ako bumibili ng packs and hindi na din ako ngdadala ng lighter pra mabawasan temptation

i had difficulty on quiting on smoking before.. but when i got pregnant, as soon as i knew i was, i instantly quit smoking.. i could easily burn 2 packs in a day before i got pregnant.. buti na lang hindi ako nagkasakit or something kasi biglaan ang pag-quit.. i guess, when it hits you, bigla ka na lang talaga mapapatigil sa mga addiction or bad habits.. currently, i'm breastfeeding so iwas pa din sa yosi.. pero sana magtuloy-tuloy na even if there's no reason for me not to smoke..

no more smoking for me.. sana

anyway, I'm glad that I don't need to go through that phase in my life, 'coz I don't drink nor smoke.......
