"Nothing ventured, nothing gained" or "Nothing ventured, nothing lost"?
David Eric Poarch, half-American and half-Filipino, left a promising future in the USA to live the simple life in the Philippines. While most Filipinos dream of leaving the country for a greener pasture abroad, he purposely "jumped off the bridge" to find his niche and purpose in life. Armed with his digital camera, he maintains a blog-cum-travelogue-cum-diary at http://coconuter.blogspot.com where he proves that much can be discovered when one has little.
In this episode of "Nagmamahal, Kapamilya" originally aired on October 21, 2006 at ABS-CBN (Philippines), we get a closer glimpse at the Coconuter's life in the Philippines. He tells us his personal story which we are not able to read in his blog. But most importantly, we finally see the third dimension of the Coconuter and realize that his is not just an adventure but a search for something we all are hoping to find.

    (Hmmm? Tingin nyo? Hehe)

good for him he has evolved beyond seeking happiness in material things.

most people's idea of happiness is still a big house and fancy cars.
