when I click on a link, instead of going directly to the website, I see another URL redirect by infophilippines.com like:

napansin ko din yan. Baka naman tsikot. com automatically adds that URL para ang hits eh going to the infophil website?

tignan ko kung madagdagan ng prefix na URL

VIOLA! automatically addd nga and maybe infophil wants to take credit as the source of where the user found and clicked the link from.

yep pansin ko din yan after the tsikot downtime. problem is pag minsan nagiging inacurate yung link. One instancenung nilink ko isangpic sa pbase instead of going to the selscted pic napupunta sya dun sa root gallery. Minsan pa ti threads sa HCP instead dun sa isang page ng thread napupunta sya sa 1st page nung linked thread

Just delete in your link bar the following:

http://www.infophilippines.com/websites/index.php?url=

and you are all set. They use it to redirect the used link for better hits and also credits(advertisements).
