The Chinese embassy in a statement yesterday said the death sentence on three Filipinos convicted of drug trafficking is FINAL and that “no one is privileged to transcend law.”

“The Chinese law prescribes that any person, no matter that he or she is a Chinese citizen or a foreigner, who commits crime shall be brought to justice in strict accordance with law. No one is privileged to transcend law,” the embassy said.

It added that drug-related crimes inflict “appalling harm” on societies and is a recognized “scourge” around the world.

Hindi na nga pina-pansin ang tawag ni Penoy.

"Mr. Aquino, in an interview after attending a command conference with the Armed Forces of the Philippines in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, said he wants to confer with Chinese President Hu Jintao on the matter but Beijing has not signified willingness to accept the phone call." Business World.

bakit parang naging policy na ng gobyerno na pag may nakulong na pinoy sa ibang bansa e mag-aappeal sa host country to either exonerate the convicted pinoy or commute the sentence? okay lang kung OFW na inabuso ng amo na hindi na nakatiis at pinatay o sinaktan na yong amo. that we should really appeal to the host country. pero etong mga to, drug smugglers!!!

Eh taga ibang bansa like UK eh di pinapansin pinas pa kaya.

Yung masama lang dito ay, if yung PNP naman natin dito ay nag drug raid or may nahuling pusher and yung mastermind ay chinese national, most of the time they will say na ay nakatakas tapos ang mga pinoy na workers lagi ang nahuhuli.
