unless hindi mo talaga alam there are such things as bonds

    weird

magulang mo never bumili ng bonds?

    kamaganak?

    friends?

nobody in your circle ever talked about bonds?

you never came across any news article about SMC or Ayala or SM issuing bonds?

the insurance was an afterthought, if ever.
perhaps they thought you would appreciate the package better, if they started with the insurance first.

nagsimula kasi ako magopen account sa bangko year 2008 or 2009. So dati ang taguan ko drawer, and basta mga secret place ko. Hindi ako gumagamit ng safety box kasi its more inviting na nadoon ang pera. I can go to a bank may dala 500thou na walang dalang bag basic low profile you wont know. Nasa bulsa lang 4pockets plus handcarry yung isa plastic ice cream container na iisipin coins

So syempre naisip ko din sunog at nakaw kaya napa-open ako bangko. Pero kung papipiliin as much as possbile i want my transaction non-detectable. Kaya nga hinidi ako naglalagay email and expired simcard sinusulat ko. PEro ngayon sa mga new openings ko no chocie kailagan na im not anymore a "ghost"

tapos ito nababalita kailangan na register simcard eh im in favor din naman but im kagalingan i want makalusot just like the pandemic.

    i remember those years.
"insurance investment" was the fad, back then.
they were insurance companies and not banks, as i vaguely recall.
a few of my colleagues were unhappy with the initial results, because their paper earnings did not reach the "earnings" that the ahentes kind of promised in the sales talk.

fine for violation = gov't revenue

since hindi binayaran ang violation (did not pay the fine to get the motorcycle back)

the gov't has to sell the motor para maging pera

    ano mali dun

    personally,
i would just sell the items, priced to cover the cost of the fines and penalties that the owners were supposed to pay. now, if the buyer wants to pay more than that, i.e., auction... that's his prerogative.
kasi, if we include intrinsic value, things can get complicated.

    tsaka ano klaseng auction yan?

    dapat nag bi-bid mga buyer

like price starts at the amount of the fine

    kunwari the fine is P5,000

so the bid starts at 5K

syempre the motor is worth more than 5K so magpapataasan mga buyer... 6k, 7k, 8k, 9k, 10k...

hanggang sa isang price that nobody will bid higher anymore

    sold

    ganyan ang auction

pag tunay na auction walang lugi ang goberyno coz they will get more than the amount of the fine

and buyers get cheap motorcycles kahit gastusan nila to repair di parin lugi

    -

ginawa ng gobyerno naglagay ng price tag

    sobrang taas walang bumili

    that's not an auction

ibang klase lang talaga sa pinas

there's always a filipino way of doing things even if it's copied from western ways

there's always a pinoy twist that doesn't make sense to westernized observers

No different from foreclosed properties and other things similar. Unpaid amelyar and other charges are added to come up with the selling price.

Anong logic dun..

pero hawak na ng gobyerno ung motor

ang purpose niyan is to make the owner pay the fine para mabawi ung motor

losing the motor to the government is already punishment enough i think

    like smuggled cars

    the gov't confiscates the cars

smugglers suffer the financial loss of losing cars they bought abroad + shipping

    malaki yun

    that's enough punishment i think
