Earthquake: 4.4 quake strikes near La Verne

Parts of Southern California were rattled by a 4.4 magnitude earthquake Tuesday evening that was centered near La Verne but felt over a wide area.

The quake occurred at 7:33 p.m. at depth of 3.7 miles. It was followed by smaller aftershocks.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was three miles from San Dimas, four miles from Claremont and five miles from Glendora.

Bakit inamag yung car ko? When I opened it puro mold yung side doors, dashboard and seats I have not used it for weeks kasi. My friend was going to borrow my car but I told her I'm not confident na to lend her my car.

By the way, if it's cheap uling, as in yung tipong pang ihaw/barbecue na variety from the palengke, and not yung commercially treated/processed activated carbon (although parehong carbon sila of course) baka dun galing yung dormant spores nung mold.

When you put them in your car na humid, well, you just gave them a conducive environment to reactivate and grow...

Spray some lysol to kill the molds first if you don't have an ionizer, leave it overnight before you use it.
Molds are a health risk.

You need to kill the spores and not just the visible mold.

• Wipe down all plastic/leatherette surfaces with diluted bleach solution and soft cloth (test first in a small area kung may adverse reaction sa material) then after a few min, wipe off with plain water and a damp cloth.
• Remove and wash seat covers then dry them under the sun. If kaya gawin sa carpet, use dry foam cleaner then bilad din.
• If nasa garage naman, open all doors/trunk and air out for a few hours paminsan minsan.
• Pa aircon cleaning ka na rin sa casa/reputable shop (malamang nasa A/C vents na rin yan, so when you switch the A/C on, you'll be blowing spores all over the cabin) and change your cabin filter (not too expensive naman ito, palitan na).

In my experience, hindi gaano efffective ang Lysol spray if may visible mold na, although effective siya from preventing it from spreading- last time I checked, Lysol spray (iba iba ang formulation ng various Lysol products) is merely aerosolized alcohol + fragrance + propellant. Yung concentration nung alcohol in aerosol form is potent enough to only be bacteriostatic and not bactiricidal.

Yung old leather sofa namin sa storage dati, naging fuzzy na sa amag (YUCK. Tumatayo pa rin balahibo ko remembering this... YUCK *shudder*) I gave it a direct spray over ng Lysol. 24hrs later, buhay pa rin yung mga impaktoh, so diluted bleach solution lang talaga nakalinis dun.

Wow! Very detailed! Thank you so much for the tips. Bad trip naman re the aircon My car is not due for PMS in the next few months. I only PMS once a year kasi. Maybe I can bilad the car in the sun this weekend?

Just have it detailed. Baka pati likod ng mga interior panels meron na rin molds.

Cath. Tinatadtad ko ng dehumidifier yun mga sasakyan namin pag mawawala kami ng 1 month. As in 6-8 pcs nun nabibili sa ace.
