Mukhang tayong 4 lang. Wala naman abiso yung 2 nating magiting na kaibigan na hindi sila darating.

Saan na ba ang final na lugar at oras?

^ quite true. Back when we were kids, kain lang sa bahay pag me birthday...now it's almost a rite of passage to celebrate your birthday at Jollibee...wala naman Halloween party dati, with costume pa, now even the private companies are hosting trick or treat parties for their staff(i kinda like this one though)

Kinda sad to see how commercialized the holidays have become, but the uncomfortable truth is this feeds our local economy.

i guess the guiding principle should be : spend only what you can afford, not what your neighbor can afford.

I love it!!! I don't see it as commercialization really. I'm thankful to my Dad that he found every excuse to celebrate. hahaha! I think it's good for the kids, made my childhood really memorable.

I was a kid in the 80s and 90s and we were already celebrating Easter (which was not common back then). We also celebrated Valentine's (we gave each other vday gifts). My friends were all so amused and jealous that my Dad celebrates all the holidays we could.

We weren't going with the hype because we've been celebrating every occasion we can even before it became commercial. My family loves to entertain and we only spend what we can afford. We also send cards for every occasion (including wedding anniversaries). It's just nice to be in a celebratory mood hehehe.

Grandparents day hindi pa masyadong hype sa Pilipinas.
