According to my office Viber group, magnitude 5.7 daw and power was cut in parts of Cavite, Manila, Bataan.

Before the earthquake akala ko mag brownout. Parang mamamatay tv at ilaw. Then I felt the earthquake.

it was a tectonic quake, not a volcanic quake.
volcano activity was ruled out as the cause.
anyone who has lived long enough in the country, knows that when stronger earthquakes occur here, they can be felt far and wide, as in, archipelago-wide. batangas to metro manila to bataan isn't really "wide".
i didn't feel it at all. i was on the slex.

Actually those tremors are nothing compared to the frequent tremblors of davao city. When i lived there talagang yumayanig apartment ko. I think it was because of the metro's proximity to mt apo
